Now note carefully the position of the frame line in between the perforations at the end of reel 3 here...
Sure it's off just a tad, but the whole movie was like that. NOW take a look at where the frame lines are in reel 4...
The end result is that it looks like the reel change splice was made out of frame and the projectionist screwed up. Not so. Beware!
Suspect the shift happened "upstream" of the final printing, during the printing of the master positive or duplicate negative.
