"Singin' in the Rain"
Warner Bros. (MGM logo)
1.37 : 1 (Academy) / SR-D
6 reels
Studio direct print
No trailers

The digital restoration is simply gorgeous with intense colors and could pass for IB, maybe better since there are no little color speckles. (Vision Premiere stock??). 1.37 projection had tight head or foot room like perhaps they lost a bit in the scanning. My print lacked C/O cues so I added them during the inspection.

Probably was on KODAK VISION Premier Color Print film 2393. Did you check the magenta edgeprint?

IMHO, much of the "look" of earlier Technicolor productions was due to the art direction, costuming, and makeup, and not just the three-strip and dye-transfer process.

Is it full frame academy. Or Academy within the 1.85:1 frame?

Full frame, 4 perf, Academy, whatever you want to call it, but it is not reduced to fit within a 1.85 boundary.

It is on 2383 print stock. Technicolor Hollywood (RIP) lab.

Warner print #20026 is in fair condition. The SRD track still plays, though.
