Shot on HDCAM. "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" had the DI made by Efilm, which was doing the color grading but needed The Digital Conform Group to work on-site at the production to take charge of organizing data from the beginning.

What do you mean with "SRD-EX and DTS-ES compatible"? Is it officially Surround EX and DTS-ES encoded or not? Or to be more precise: Auto-EX and DTS-ES print on the CD?

It's really important for me to know: Can anybody say if the DTS-CDs of "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" are labeled DTS-ES? Thanks for the fast help.

The Discs ARE labeled DTS-ES, and if you do a search query for the EX format, you can learn why the two formats are essentially compatible. I don't have any auto-detect capabilities, but after viewing the film in Dolby EX, it sounds natural and appropriate in EX. Many EX films have not been credited with the EX logo.
