I'll be playing this next week and I'd like to know as much about the print ahead of time. Sound format (I assume it's mono), number of reels and print quality, assuming that there are only a couple still left. Also does any one know if the studio struck any new prints for this recently or if all the remaining prints are 36 years old?

There were new prints made in the late '90s. They didn't look very good. Sound was mono. Don't remember image format offhand; IMDB claims it is 1.85.

Original prints would either be IB Tech or have faded color.

It was definitely non-anamorphic, but it could've been 1.66 It's been way too many years since I ran that one.

If you don't get a reissue print, it will probably be completely red.

Yea, I ran "Easy Rider" back in 1970. Original IB technicolor print (WB was a dedicated IB technicolor user back then until the next couple of years to go back and forth from IB to Eastman)-full frame printing and good ol plain optical mono sound.

...and Steppenwolf's famous soundtrack that came from this movie.

WB was, but Columbia Pictures released "Easy Rider". The two original prints I ran about 10 years ago were Eastman (faded) & mono and flat 1.85..
