scott, are you sure it's 5 reels? i have not handled it personally, but i just watched it and counted 4 reels. i spoke with the woman who built it and the conversation indicated that there were 4 reels, though it wasn't said explicitly.

I thought it was five, but I will have to check. I've run it, but only in a platter house where the print was already made up when I got there.

The original French-language version was 5 reels. It officially ran 84 minutes.
The Variety review of the new Americanized version lists the running time as 80 minutes and notes "trimming of five minutes."
