Are you sure it's only 6 reels? I was certain it was at least seven. We ran it on 2 VERY full 6k reels.

Absolutely. I inspected a print on Saturday Night. I was quite surprised at the reel count myself and even verified that someone didn't manufacture their own reel breaks to make it fit.

Still, that's unusual ... Normally, there's never any more then 20 min per reel .... so to have a running time of 133 min with 6 reels makes me wonder if a section of your print might be missing...

The reels of LTK are pretty much to the edge... and the 6th reel overlapped about half an inch over the edge. Very odd.

I saw that many a time back in the 80's. After some complaints at the time I believe a rule was established that said film was not to overlap 20 minute reels. Now with the polyester base stocks you can get more than 20 mins. on a 2000 foot reel because the film is slightly thinner than triacitate.
