Be careful when cutting the head of reel 3. The reel starts with a foot or so of a very dark scene. You need to put the “3” of the countdown leader into your frame counter and zero the counter. Then pull exactly 3 feet and 0 frames through it (this is 48 frames total) and cut there. If you hold the film up to the light you can just about make out the frameline.
