I'm not really sure if this belongs here but the 2K (non-IMAX) 3D versions are scope, not flat.

No, that's not true.

Cameron has made 2 versions for digital (2D or 3D)...one flat and one scope so whatever type screen masking you have they will send you the file to leave the image at its largest size.

All digital cinemas were contacted and asked to provide this info. If you've not been contacted get in touch with them now.

John is right...and Cameron is SERIOUSLY overestimating the people who will be running his movie. Deluxe confirmed to me that locations with two different types of masking will get two different hard drives (one flat and one scope) and that the theaters are expected to keep track of which file plays through which channel in which auditorium. He will going to create more problems here than possible good.

We received our drives tonight (Monday) Ingesting now. It's beengoing around 80 minutes and is at 65% at 176GB so far.

Have been told to expect the 35mm Tuesday and the KDM's Wednesday AM at the latest. Our first show is at 1700 Wednesday afternoon.

Lucky you John , we open with it tomorrow have 35mm and digital prints coming , still have yet to take delivery of both and no keys sent through either.If freight deliveries are late tomorrow we may be turning some customers away.

Brad, any chance you could get the 'AVATAR - Put on your 3D glasses' file up for download? We got nothing with ours and the standard one we have really is awful.

I'm using RealD.
