Manny, technically it's still 2.39:1, but for some reason people have taken to rounding it off and it seems to have caught on. It's incorrect. Seems to me if it is a SPECIFICATION, what's the point of rounding it off? By that logic, 1.37 could be called 1.4 and so on. Makes no sense and among technical people (who else would be using these specs?), it's just sloppy and inaccurate.

Maybe that's a way of saying "We made some wide-ass splices." I remember Star Wars Ep 1 was pronounced 2.4:1 and had to be framed meticulously to avoid splices being visible over the various reels.
