Oh yes, 'cause it will be a box office smash, they will have to protect it from the big bad theater pirates. And lets lock up the first reel and the previews to totally screw with the projectionists too, oh wait, they will be. [sex]

0 Via Fax (if we have a valid fax number for you it will broadcast at 9:30pm EST on the
11th).

The systems will be deactivated 48 hours after activation.

To unlock the combination lock:
1) Set combination code
2) Press down silver handle
3) Lift up silver handle

Please return locks with the feature print. Place lock and secure on handle of the film cans when returning prints. All locks are the property of Summit Entertainment.
Any locks not returned or altered in any way will be documented and given to the appropriate authorities for piracy investigation.

I just tried all of those options, all of them failed miserably.

I found out from our Booking department that it is trailer related......Twilight: Eclipse is probably attached to the first reel.

Darryl, that's what I assumed when I saw the trailers were locked. It's pretty much a no brainer when you consider the movie is from the same distributor as Twilight and stars one of the same lead actors.

Theaters should start sending studio payments in two packages, with the one containing the bulk of the payment locked; the accounting department can download the combination ten minutes before the invoice is due. "Hey, you got the payment when it was required, right?" [evil]

Don't forget to deduct unreturned locks from the next payment.
