reel 2 starts with a few feet of black. cut 47 frames after the "3". reel 4 starts with a very dark shot that is 4 frames long. both these issues tripped up previous builders of my used print.

On No.2, I measured frame lines from "3" until the DTS encoding was engaged, then I cut there since one couldn't see where the lab joined the leader to the first frame of action.

Just take the head of another reel that you have already cut and overlay the 3's then cut where the already cut head ends. That's what I did with no problems.
