Hi -

I'm about to run this old Sergio Leone - thing tonight. Print just arrived - no time for testrun.
Do any of You recall - wasn't this one born with an intermission (and when)? - It is the 2 h 45 min version, but there is no sign of break anywhere.

When we showed it in 1987 it most definitely did not have an intermission. That doesn't mean it never did, or that the European version may not have had one.

It's such a beautiful movie, why interrupt it;>

The very first time around, european print were cut to something like 2 hours, spoiling the whole thing.
This is the first full-lenght version, we have seen in Denmark.
Normally, I claim that when You pass 2:15 without an intermission, You get noise in the auditorium from one running out to take a leak after another. IF this film allows it, I prefer an intermission. Besides, I had to run OUATITW from tower with 4000 meter reels (12000 ft), and the film was over the edge, which I definitely don't like - but I did run without pause.
