Special Notes: The end of reel #6 does not actually end with the image! As I recall, there are five or six regular frames after the last cue mark. Then,there are a number of black frames to the end of the reel (approx. 12). Make your cut on the first white frame line.

Also- Reel #7 has a fade-in. Make your cut on the last white frame line of the head header.

There is a black & white letterboxed image prior to the credits. If you cue on the last frame of the color imaage, your lights will come up too soon.

As a follow-up, DeLuxe Film Services faxed a bulletin explaining the reel # 6 situation. Here it is:

"Dear Manager and Projectionist,

In reel 6, our hero gets punched and knocked out and the image fades to black. We are asking that you please pay special attention while putting together your print to insure that you keep all the black frames at the end of the reel.

The first visible white frame line after these black frames is the place to cut over to reel 7. Please be sure that if your print is being spliced together on a platter that this is where the splice is made. If you are running reel to reel, this is where the changeover should be cued.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and wish you a long and successful run."

Well, not entirely accurate, as there is no "fade to black" at the end of reel # 6. It goes from image to total darkness. Then reel # 7 resumes with a fade in.

My print, with reel No.2, I had to go down almost a foot from BOA to make my cut due to the SR,SR-D and SDDS track was blocked from playback ....
