FYI-
Although the print has DTS timecode on it, according to
Technicolor, DTS disks are not available in the US for
THE ARTIST, with the exception of a few available for
"special venue" presentations.

Yes and the opening logos are letter boxed to 1.85 within the pillar boxed 1.37! A full frame version or scope like GWTW would be so much better!

Disappointing that there aren't at least a handful of "special venue" prints that are proper Academy aperture on 2302.

On another matter, I see noted that the soundtrack album includes a track titled "The Artist Overture". Is there actually an overture in the traditional sense or is it simply used for the opening titles?

No overture on the movie. I guess it's just the opening titles.
