This is being pretty heavily promoted as the previous film "from the director of 'Run Lola Run.'" Unfortunately, this sort of promotion is doing it a real disservice, as it is a very slow and deliberate film and is quite unlike RLR. Still, it's rather well crafted and is worth seeing (esp. since one of the major characters is a projectionist; there's a scene with an Ultra-Stereo placard in the background). It's nothing earth-shattering, but it's a reasonable way to spend two hours of one's time.

I really liked the pacing but have not seen Run Lola Run so can't compare it to that one. When we ran this last November, they used the same seel line, but I was told then that that wasn't a good idea because they were two VERY different films.I really did enjoy this film. It's just got that FEEL to it that only a europen film could ever pull off, much the same way as Three Colors Blue did for me.
It will never make a dollar, but that's no reason not to make it.
