Well today we opened Amores Perros. I had read about the movie being nominated for best foreign picture, but lost of course to Crouching Tiger. What I *didn't* expect was to have around TWO HUNDRED people get turned away because we had it in one of our smallest theatres, that only had about 125 seats.(for the main 7 o'clock set). I switch it to our biggest theatre, about 300 seats for the last set, and it SOLD OUT in about 20 minutes. Where the hell did this movie come from?! This totally took us by surprise concessions was swamped we had sent everyone home because it was so slow. I remember reading that its really sort of violent pulp fiction type of movie but geez give me a break. Did anyone else have any big surprises with it? Or info on what its actually *about*?
