This movie is pretty darn entertaining. I don't want to give anything away or hype it up too much, but it's good. It's really funny, which is not promoted in the trailer. Also, this movie has a soundtrack that is extremely creative. Out of 10 stars I would give it a 6.

Agreed, the trailer does not do this flick justice. The casting and performances are great (inparticularly the actor who played Geoffrey Chaucer), it has a good humorous script which only drags for a few minutes here and there, it is photographed well and has a very nicely mixed soundtrack. (SDDS fans take note this film is an 8 channel mix.) As for the musical "score", it is amazing just how much this does not fit this sort of movie...but even more amazing is just how well it DOES fit the movie! I don't know how to explain it. Just make sure to catch this one.Also, sit through the entire credits. There is another battle at the end.

Now this was an entertaining film. Much more so, IMHO, than The Mummy Returns. The cast is just superb and the soundtrack, as mentioned in the posts above, makes this movie strangely unique. I don't want to give away too much either. But A Knight's Tale is definitely a good time. I highly recommend it.------------------

What I was actually able to see of A Knight's Tale, I truly enjoyed.
However, I did not get to see the film in its entirety. 
Not just once, but twice did the film decide to be naughty, in a static induced sort of way. Usually such static type issues happen in the last reel. Oh no, not these. Fifth reel and sixth reel.
The second crash was one of those lovely messes where the tail of the film got loose, and dove under the payout platter, and tangled it self up, pulling the rest of the film tight around the brain, and getting more film tangled around the brain. Most of the blue MPAA band got destroyed in that mess, and the scene after the credits took a little abuse too.
It was easier on the film (and me) to detangle, and wind up the end of the film without watching it.

Gracia: Please let me know the print number, laboratory (if you know which), and the full film ID from the edge of the leaders (magenta colored letters in the SDDS track area printed about 3 feet (1 meter) apart.I assume you have looked at the "usual suspects" of relative humidity, non-conductive platters and rollers, winding orientation, platter timing, insufficient restraint of the roll on the platter, etc.:

Gracia, what make/model of platter? Does your theater do anything in normal practice to combat static? Kodak has done a fantastic job over the last year or two of neutralizing static with their new coatings, but there is always some amount still there and the weather seems to make things worse.(Please start a thread on this in the Film Handler's Forum instead of continuing it here in the Review forum.)

I thought the movie was very entertaining, enough so to keep me awake until 3am viewing it friday morning. I must say that it was poorly promoted. Most people had no idea it was a comedy, thus have avoided it. The people that have come to see it all thought that it was great. It is a little to long for my tastes, and I think that some stuff could have been edited out to make the run time shorter. The film kida reminded me of a Monty Python flick. I only wish that it would do better at the box. However, each screening has had a better count, with mainly teens buying the tickets.

I want to see this film. It is too bad that it is apparantly tanking at the Carmike theater here. They have two prints of it, both shows are in DTS with one of the rooms being THX. I've heard it is a great show from the few people here who have actually seen it. I think the commercials and trialer for it were kind of stupid. That could be one of the reasons why the crowds here seem to be staying away in droves.
