If the title means nothing to you, this is a recent Richard Linklater film. You've probably heard about it at some point. it was shot on digital video and then animated. It is an interesting film. The animation is quite fascinating. (If you remember some mtv promos a few years ago in which live action footage of people talking was animated, you know the look of this film. It was done using the same technique and by some of the same people.) The script leaves a lot to be desired though. The first half of the film is quite painful. Long, boring, pretentious monolog is followed by long, boring, pretentious monolog. If it wasn't for the animation, I would have left about a half hour into the film, and that is something I've only done on two other occasions. However, the second half of the film gets pretty interesting and much less pretentious. The music by the Tosca Tango orchestra is fantastic. (I went and bought the soundtrack after seeing the movie) all in all, it is worth a look, but brace yourself for the first few reels.
