Cute and moves along well (which is great for short-attention
span kids). Lots of laughs for kiddies, and a few aimed at
adults (but VERY innocent, nice to see). Amusing little
cheap shot towards Blair Witch. Kids save the parents, and
of course, the door left open for sequel. Not sure if this was
"carpet-bomb" promoted here in Canada, only about 25 people in
the crowd, but it seemed like a pretty dead night in the whole
place (sign said 9pm "Rings" was sold out though). I think there's
just too much last-minute stuff to do, last Friday before Christmas...

The trailers for this movie look like they were rendered at 640x480 resolution. How does the final film look? Lots of jagged edges or no?

I actually looked for that. I didn't see any, though the entire film seemed a little grainy, I wondered if they did that to kind of "slur" the whole thing into looking good? But it does look pretty good.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I was supposed to screen The Majestic, but got shanghaied into this one instead. Steve Oedekerk worked on this one and it shows. I laughed out loud several times. And not just because I was alone in the theater. 
It's not doing any business, though, so I imagine that it will be gone with the holidays.

I waited until tonight to see this movie, and I saw it at Regal Madison Square 12 in Huntsville at the 7:05 show. The movie was cute and enjoyable. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the end of the movie. There was a section missing near the end of the movie (a sudden mid-scene to mid-other-scene jump), then about a minute later, the projector shut off and the auditorium lights came on. This same thing happened to the 5:05 show in the same auditorium. Several people requested passes for the 5:05 and nearly everyone in the 7:05, including me, requested passes. This movie drew a good number of people, considering it was the movie's second week. The theatre gave quite a few passes.I'd like to know the exact running time of this movie from the studio logo to the end of the credits so I will know how much I missed.
What happened after Jimmy found his parents in the space ship after the rescue?

One criticism I have had with animated flicks of late is that they are often so serious. Even Monsters Inc had a serious side to it.But this film is just pure fun. From start to finish every frame is lighthearted and you can see that what the creators are trying to do is not create some computer-generated masterpiece but rather produce a fun family flick that entertains.
I enjoyed it tremendously.
Verdict: 8 stars out of 10

After Limmy finds his parents in the spaceship, cut to breakfast table @ Jimmys house where boiled eggs are served.
Mun then has a drink of the Burping Soda, cue numerous burps.
Same for Dad.
