This is a routine IMAX film. It tells the story of the X-Games from Philadelphia. Lots of concentration on personalities that mean nothing to those not familiar with the sports. For example, we are shown a supposedly brilliant skateboard run, but no one tells us WHY that was so amazing. It looked like any other run to me, but I'm sure the experts could tell me what made it so special.

There are a few point-of-view shots that are interesting (the rolling luge shots are very good), but not enough. Some beautiful shots of bikers at dusk, but never repeated. There is some water-boarding in the credits, but none during the film.

Technical credits are good, but not outstanding.

In my opinion, not worth seeing unless you have a great interest in the X-Games.

There were trailers for Lion King (always a joy to see in IMAX), and TREASURE PLANET.

Makers of these films should remember that film is a storytelling medium. Pretty pictures on a big screen do NOT make a story. In my opinion, the best example of big screen storytelling in a documentary style format is SUPER SPEEDWAY.
