2 Fast? My grandmother usually drives faster on her way to church.

2 Furious? Nobody really seemed to get upset during the whole moive.

2 Much of a waste of my time? Yeah.

I knew this was going to be a POS since, well, since I saw the first one. [thumbsdown]

Maybe I'll get lucky and somebody will break into my theatre and steal the print so that I never have to see it again! [puke]

Oh yeah, that wasn't a HEMI either! [Mad]

One does not go to a movie like this and expect a tremendous story, excellent dialouge, and characters that grow. If you are, go see something else. If you instead want a mindless 2 hours full of summer fun and audio nirvana, go see this movie. I really enjoyed the first film because it was just so much fun to watch. Movies can have several purposes. In this case, the purpose is to have fun.

The chases and races within this film are spectacular. Although the first film had some great races, I felt that the ones in 2 Fast were just done much better. I found myself on the edge of my seat as I sat there and got sucked into the race.

Of course, on the presentation side of things, all was great. The scope picture was very nice looking, but a little on the grainy side for me. Of course, it was most likely intended. But the real star here is the audio. The mix on this film was just great. It uses every channel to its fullest. The reving of the Challenger (please correct me if I'm wrong, it was the orange muscle car) was just insane. Also, the first race of the film makes incredible use of channel separation. Crank this up!

Overall, I really liked this movie. Not only was it just fun to watch, but the audio is worth the price of admission. Also, after such a slow spring, I feel that it's gonna bring in some nice business. Cheers!

With myself being such a huge fan of the original "Fast and the Furious" starring that imbecil Vin Diesel [puke]

I have been dreading this night for some time. The first movie just plain sucked and I expected this to somehow top it on the scale of suckiness. Fortunately Vin Diesel was not in it!!! [thumbsup]

Without giving away any of the plot, this movie is MUCH better than the first one. Granted the sheer fact that Vin was not in it made a tremendous difference, but even putting that gag-a-minute "actor" aside, this movie was indeed much better than the first. If you liked the first one (how I don't know, but we'll pretend for now), then you will definitely like the second one. If you hated the first one like I did, then you may still like this one. The print I screened was gorgeous and like was said above, the sound was fantastic and very well mixed.

If you're going to ever watch this movie, go ahead and see it now in a cinema on a big screen with a good sound system. This is not one of those that would be best left for DVD.

I caught the first one with Vin Diesel, on Starz last night. I like Vin but thought this movie was pretty stupid. I hadn't made the connection with "2" Fast (blah blah). I won't bother to see this sequel as it doesn't even have what I like about the first one (does it?)
Maybe they should call the next sequel "Half Fast, Half Furious"

I totally agree and the first one was the same way, the only thing that really made it worse was the effects they used when racing through the streets most of it was done by a computer and then also everytime they used the "NOS" button they went into some hyperspace/starwars super duper fast mode... [Roll Eyes]

Ya really got to be kidding....this piece of crap was a waste of good release print film as well as a good film crew!! I'd be willing to bet that "Howard The Duck, and "Million Dollar Mystery" are on your all time favorite list too....... [Wink]

I can just imagine what Jim Careys next film will be called....."2 Dumb, 2 Dumber"

Even if it weren't a sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious stands on its own. Just move the setting from California to South Florida and the Asian types to Cubans.

Not having Vin Diesel hurt 2F2F after the first weekend. After all, he made the original.

According to imdb.com, Fast and Furious made $144 million in its release, and 2 Fast 2 Furious is #3 at the box office currently, with about $103 million I think. I checked the weekly charts on imdb, and 2 Fast opened up bigger, but had a bigger drop the second weekend than F and F did. But it seems to be holding on it's own without Vin so far. I'm a fan of both, and both stand on their own too, I agree.

2F2F was very entertaining despite some bad acting (the Asian girl was spectacularly dreadful). However, a second viewing left me cold. I don't know why.

The film features another really good analog SR soundtrack.

Wow... I thought that they went out of the way to make the analog track sound bad on this one, and I heard it on two well aligned and normally kick-ass SR systems.

Strictly visual eye candy. Good image and great sound made for an intereseting diversion, quickly forgettable after watching it, but not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.

As in, yes, you would have to be a true retard to remotely believe anything in this film. The race sequences were half computer generated PS2 crap... The gear changes every five seconds, the hyper space effects when they sprayed (the big N2O button., the acting...

Sweet Jesus... what WAS right with this film? Oh, Eva Mendes. Total eye candy.... what a beatiful latin woman she is... [Eek!]

I can't believe the wife wasted $16 on this DVD. It would have been a little more tolerable on the big screen (sound/visual effects).

Overall, I'd rather take a [bs]

, or have to [puke]

than see this one again.
