I was very surprised about this movie, I went into it thinking it was going to be retarded but walked out of it liking it. It is a great family movie.

Saw it last night... I thought it was very funny. Vin Diesel singing the "Peter Panda" dance was funny. I liked the clues the father left and how everything worked out as always in Disney films. Brittany Snow was hot(She's from Tampa BTW) and of course Lauren Graham was stunning.

Very good for the kiddies and funny seeing Vin Diesel in a different type of role.

3/5

The Peter Panda Dance

When You're feeling low
Lower than the floor
and you think that noone's got your back
bum,bum,bum

Just don't make a move
till you're in the groove
doin' the peter panda dance

Just hop 3 times like a kangaroo
Sidestep twice just like those crabs do
Three steps forward
one step back

Quick like a turtle
Lie on your back
Jump real quick
like there aint no floor

Hold your breath
Slide to the left
and that's the Peter
I swear that's the Peter
That's the Peter Panda Dance...

I've seen this scene too many times now.
I always seem to be in the booth when it is on.
I still think it is cool how it ties in to the end sequence though

Not that good. Too many unbelievable situations. Too many unanswered questions. Too many dopey scenarios. (Bankers waiting two weeks for a woman to guess her killed husband's password? Vin Diesel, Navy SEAL, deciding to jump in and direct the kid's high-school musical? Come ON.)

1-1/2 out of 5. Half a star for the duck. The duck was funny.

CINEMA: Valle Drive-In Theatre, Newton, IA
SCREEN: 1
PRESENTATION: DTS Digital 1.0 via a Reed 2234 in-car speaker
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: Scattered showers
RATING: 2 1/2 stars

This was a perfect family drive-in flick. Laughter came from all ages across the lot. Everybody had a good time. That's probably why I didn't mind it either, because WOW was this campy. This was Disney live-action 70's campy. This was Boatniks campy.

Almost everybody stayed for "National Treasure", the second feature. I have to say...For what may have been a six-month old print, "National Treasure" looked pristine.

Excellent early season double feature for drive-ins. I'd say the Valle had about a 2/3 full lot tonight.
