Brad you sure make it hard to reply on this thread.
I actually enjoyed the flick. I was glad it was more psycological rathar then a CG moster movie. Much shorter than the original, and I had problems trying to sleep after watching it.

Hey, glad to hear someone liked it. Still though it was nothing more than a cheap startle movie. Anytime they wanted to "scare" the audience, they just got things all nice and quiet, had the actor looking around carefully, then blasted the audience with a shriek over the sound system and CGI'd someone's face to show their bones. Pathetic.
The director is an amateur.

I agree on a lot of the cheesy scares, and the CG faces where defiantly cheesy as well. What got me was the damn fine acting. The psycological aspect at least. That is what left the impression on me. Not boogyman faces in the mirror.

Well, he also sucked remaking "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". That re-make was horrible, as well.

Other than a Documentary this is the feature film debut of Andrew Douglas. He did not do Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Just the producers had anything to do with the two.

Huh, I haven't seen this movie...
Anyways, everyone that comes out of the film seems to like it, and they all said it is really scary.

It was OK not really that awesome. Ryan Reynolds brings life to any character he plays though. He is really talented. I think the original was scarier though. This was average.
2.5/5

I thought it was okay...I haven't seen the original actually but I thought the story was decent. Definitely didn't scare me but it had some okay moments. I'd give it maybe 2 stars out of 5.
