I'm pretty sure this hasn't been posted before.

A mocumentary about 'what if' the South had won the Civil War, as only Spike Lee could tell it. It's told through a Discovery Channel like made-for-tv film, that even breaks for commercials for products like toothpaste that give 'that jigaboo shine' or for the Coon' Chicken Inn.

The movie uses grainy and scratched film to look authentic. It takes the viewer form the Civil War right up through modern day.

CSA has some humorous moments, if you allow yourself to laugh out loud at some of the antics and bigots, but overall it really didn't keep my attention the whole time.(I found myself counting the seats, speakers, and ceiling tiles in the newly renovated IFC center, formally the Waverly Twin, and for the record, there are 112, 8, and 264).

It, if noting else, is a great idea for a movie and what-if scenario. The pace could have been sped up a bit and a little less boring monologue could have made this a really good film. Though there is something I found shocking once the credits start to roll, but I won't reveal my giddiness here.

I've seen clips of it, and it looks pretty funny. I just hope people don't take this seriously, or say stuff like "it opened my eyes" or "it makes you think", because none of that would have happened in the past 140 years. Just another cheap shot at the South, which is apparently politically correct in this day and age. It's a Spike Lee movie, poking fun at whites, knowing he has an open forum because whites cannot say anything in response because they will be labeled as racists. I figured that it would just be a matter of time before a type of movie like this was made.
