Great performance from Ed Norton. "The Iluusionist" as with a couple of other Norton favorites of mine . . "Primal Fear" and "Rounders" makes him one of those natural actors who can be whatever he wants to be and it will be sheer joy to watch.
Paul Giamatti held his own in his character. The story was amazingly predictable yet in all a worthwhile period piece and change of pace. Excellent musical score too. Even more entertaining if you leave your brain at the door.

Did anyone else think the bulb was going on the projector that the movie was screened in? The first reel of the movie had the effect of a bad bulb, which freaked me out. Just curious I guess if anyone else notcied this.

We've been running this film for over 4 weeks. Only venue in Asheville playing it. Doing steady business.

I got to see it yesterday for the only time. I was horrified to see platter scratches on the soundtrack side of the film! These stopped suddenly when R4 started. When I checked it out, I found that the print was used when we got it. I noticed every CAP code on each reel, too. Good film. A nice change from the norm.

One thing, the film copyright is 2005. Our print has a nice black soundtrack. No DTS on this one! Its a nice quiet movie.
