When I heard a talking heads song in the opening credits I thought I might enjoy this one. I was wrong. Totally lame with a few mildly funny scenes tossed it.

Pretty good for what it is -- a kid's movie. Ashton Kutcher and Martin Lawrence are good on the two lead voices. The outdoor scenes are a bit painful in comparison to similar scenes "Cars," but the action scenes were well done.

It was decently funny and didn't drag, and certainly a lot better than "Barnyard," so I predict decent business.

Extra props to the filmmakers for remembering to put the hump in the grizzly bear's back. (After the udders on the "male cows" in "Barnyard," I was ready for anything.) Props taken back, though, for not giving Elliot the knowledge that his antler would grow back. All About Antlers

Overall, a kids film that the parents will not suffer too much.

I laughed at the part where Elliot pooped. Yeah...thats about all I have to say about this movie.

Oh, and the animal vs human combat sequence was fun. Maybe I'm just burnt out on talking animal movies (which I never thought I'd be)

IMAX 3D, mostly full frame, looked okay, ironically added little depth to the experience. And to extend on Allison's comment, yes, Elliot poops. Oh, that didn't extend much? I guess not.

Even though I'd never heard of him, I must now express I'm not a fan of Paul Westerburg.

I think this movie will do well in IMAX 3D. It's getting good reactions from large audiences. Let's hope it keeps getting viewers through mid-November, until Happy Feet time.

Seen on the mighty 48'x28' Imax Jr. screen at AMC Easton. (Sorry, Imax...if you are using a screen that small, it will be IMAX JR. to me.)

No preshow music or video. Lots of booms coming from other auditoriums.

Happy Feet 3D trailer attached. Clearly says 3D. The decision to go 2D probably came too late to change it. Getting tired of that one...haven't we seen that for about a year now?

OK, OPEN SEASON. Well, it wasn't as awful as I expected. Rather bland "kids" movie, with lots of poop jokes for the pre-adolescent crowd. Pretty much uninteresting characters in an uninteresting story with uninteresting 3-D.

Nothing special here...leave it alone and it will go away quietly. Don't see it staying #1 after first week.

Crowd was small (about 10), and I didn't hear any laughter from the kids.

Unless its 3-D, I don't see any reason to pay extra money for the Imax Experience on a screen of this size. (AMC Charges $9.50 for matinee prices, $11.50 evenings, $7 for the early weekend shows)

I thought this was actually pretty good. Maybe I'm comparing it to the recent string of crappy CGI movies...Out of all the CGI based movies that have recently come out, this is probably one of the better ones.

I laughed at it. I liked it better than barnyard. And yeah it IS good to know that all the animal parts were in their correct places.
