PRESENTATION: 35mm/Analog
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: It was ANALOG. And a bit shaky.
RATING: Two and one half stars (out of four)

WARNING: "Hey...did you hear the one about the Zenmaster who ordered the hot dog? He said 'I'll have one with Spoilers.'"

Wife #1 declares the need for popcorn because "I just remembered this is the place where you can butter your own!" So she gets the #1 combo, which is a large popcorn and a large soda for the everyday low price of $10.00. Ten years ago when I was unemployed and spending an unusually large amount of time seeing movies at Kansas City 18 (in its Act III days), I decided that if I couldn't buy a (single) ticket, popcorn, and soda for a total under $10, the snack items wouldn't be had. Today's matinee cost a total $23.00.

After roughly two minutes under the buttery topping machine, the popcorn was ready. About halfway through the bag, I went back and topped it again. I'm sure we're totally bankrupting AMC. Or they can claim they made up the savings in their crappy presentation.

Okay...uh...there's a bomb, and some bad guys, and Nicholas Cage's character has amazing superpowers that allow him to see two minutes into his future. He uses this in his Vegas magic act and for gambling purposes. He can't see anybody else's future except for this one girl he stalks at a neat old Sambo's. Anyway, the feds somehow know about this and want him to help find the bomb. He doesn't want to, so he flees. Then he sleeps with the girl and the movie is basically over.

The movie goes on, but explaining why would ruin the clever ending. At least I'm sure it looked clever on paper. It's been done before.

Most of the critics seem kind of annoyed by it. Yeah, actually, it's stupid.
