Screened Brave this afternoon, nearly a filled house for a matinee ~ coudn't help notice in today's world that the audience-reaction to Foster's shooting thugs in the face trumped the immorality issues of the taking 'justice into your own hands' debate. Foster credibly displays the thin line that divides insanity from sanity well.

Getting even and "Dog's Rule!" with this group as Erica got the biggest kudos to "I want my dog back" . . . bang.

Foster and Howards' performance together are quite memorable. Although Brave One doesn't glorify vigilantism, this audience found Erica's behavior enough to applaud ea time she detaches from the legal system to a level emotionally charged enough to justify murder. The punks-on-a-train scene was a set-up for a better case for self-defense over vigilantism.

All in all . . . Foster is hot. The supporting cast et al (Howard) is cool!

No-nonsense entertaining flick. Definitely worth a look-see.

And "Death Sentence" was the second novel by the author of (and written as the follow up to)"Death Wish".

This film was very good. It held my interest the entire time and makes you think "what if that happened to me?" Certainly not a classic epic but definitely worth the time to see.

Another breath taking performance by Jodie Foster. Watched this last night and was overwhelmed by how much power Foster puts in every characted she portrays. The film follows the path of "Nobody" who decides to takes law into her own hands. It's interesting how Foster is both the "outlaw" and the "law" in this film. Foster definately should be considered for an Oscar in this film which I believe is one of the best of Jodies'.
Definately recommend it.
