Today at Cinemark 17 in Springfield, #16, 35mm. There's a buzz in the right-front channel.

While there are laughs, overall this is not very good. The talents of Andy Richter and Will Arnett are wasted. Andrew Daly as "Dick Pepperfield", radio announcer for The Tropics, was pretty funny.

2 out of 5. [Shrug]

Somebody actually paid to see this? Andy Richter is still alive?

Every week when I put new movies together, I say to myself...Self..its impossible for them to make any worse than these. And then the next week comes along and, yes, you guessed it, they are worse than last week.

This movie is a total waste of film stock. Its just plain stupid.

We got this film in our little 6 screen theater on Friday and since then we have had 9 showings with a total of 9 patrons. And yet the critics claim that it is the funniest movie of the season.

The film industry is going downhill very fast. I have been a projectionist for over 40 years and I have seen the best of the movies. What is coming out of the minds of the 20 something year old directors and produces is crapola.

I have no idea why they would put Will Ferrell in any movie, he has no redeeming virtues as an actor or comedian at all, and I see there is another movie with him coming out soon.

I admit I havent seen this movie but I think the Will Ferrell thing is getting old, and its too bad. He keeps playing the same character in the same movie over and over again all that changes is the setting. I think Will Ferrell is funny and its too bad that he has been pigeon holed. The same thing happened to Ben Stiller who I don't think is funny.

They don't have a clue [Frown]
Management was talking to New Line Cinema last week and New Line is all upset that the movie is not making any money. My management does not mince words. She told them that its a piece of garbage. They actually thought they had a hit movie.

They don't have a clue, so sad.

He has his more serious roles... they just never got advertising behind it and didn't do well. He was great in "Stranger than Fiction" for instance.

This is like the left-over jokes from Talladega Nights and Blades of Glory. A couple of decent laffs, but not enough.

1.75 out of 5.
