I saw a special screening this evening, and I was surprised on how I enjoyed the film. By no means is it original but it is certainly entertaining. It is another enjoyable teenage comedy (even though I am not a teenager anymore, I am close enough to enjoy their comedy)

We're playing this now to fill in a spot on the schedule, bottom line.

It's a typical high-spirited teen comedy. Sort of a combo of "Dude Where's My Car" and "Bring It On."

I don't understand why movies like this always seem to feature songs that are over 20 years old...in this case, "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake, which was recorded before everyone in the movie was born.

The movie has a handful of chuckle-and-laugh moments, which is better than you can say for a lot of movies of this type, and (spoiler ahead) for once the 'hero' kids DON'T win the big competition at the end, which was refreshing, so I give it 2.5 out of 5 stars.

And even then, the original version they did of that song is several years older than the one they used for that movie.
