RATING: Two and one half stars (out of four)

This was the cleanest, steadiest, clearest 35mm presentation I've seen in some time. NICE job.

MEANWHILE AT FREDDY'S (home of the original FREDDY steakburger)...Some country station is in the parking lot with a tent and table. A line of a hundred plus are being given bumper stickers and coupon books. Must be a pretty impressive coupon book. It apparently includes tickets to the station's "listener appreciation party", which is featuring somebody named Luke Bryan. I have no idea who he is. And before anybody volunteers, I have no desire to know who he is either.

THE PLOT: A man with no man friends gets engaged, only to discover having no man friends is weird. Wackiness ensues.

This should have been funnier.

It's funny, but not as funny as I had been led to believe.

It attempts to compensate by oversaturating the plot with Rush (including a Rush concert), but how the hell is Rush supposed to save a romantic comedy? Who sits around with a weak script and thinks to themselves "Let's call Geddy Lee. Neil Peart saved that Aqua Teen movie, let's get those guys to save our romantic comedy." And Geddy Lee agrees if they "pay for the chickens, eh." Then the producer calls the movie company and says "We've saved the script. We've got Rush." And the movie company says "What about Luke Bryan?" And the producer is like "Who?"

Hollywood is getting too damn confusing for me.

I thought it was funny, but then, I like Rush.

Sam seems to like this cinema for his reviews and its not often you hear quotes like this about 35mm these days. The operators must be well trained. What equipment do they run?
