Folks:

I'm surprised nobody has posted on this film. I saw it opening weekend. I shunned the local cattle-plex, and saw it at the Cinearts @ Palo Alto Sqaure which is a twin from the 70's.

Great movie. Very entertaining. Much better than I expected. I would have thoguht the film would feature music blaring thoughout, but the sountrack is actually quite subtle. The film focuses closely on the storyline. I would recomend it.

I liked it. Some people have suggested that it should have had more music in it--if it had, then I think that it would have missed the point. This film isn't about music. It is about the events that surrounded the music festival.

In that way, I would say that it is comparable to the 2000 film "The Dish" (which I also recommend).

Scott: That's the difference between Hollywood films and independendly made films. In Hollywood-made films its all about the money and that means a good soundtrack to sell. Indepoendent filmakers seem to be more interested in good storytelling over selling CD's.
