Today at Regal 15 in Eugene, #9, NEC 2K DLP + RealD XL 3D. No presentation issues for the feature but there was no picture during the First Look preshow. Did Regal bring the old roller coaster policy to digital? The audio from that policy played right before the feature but there was no image and it was cut off about halfway through, didn't finish.

Inferior channeling of Sam Graham: Due to line at box office I decided to use the automated ticket kiosk. Lady in front of me can't get it to read her debit card. She is angry and talking to herself and making sure everyone around her knows she isn't going to stand in line at the box office. I fear she is going to have an aneurysm over this. She finally marches off in a huff to complain to the ticket tearer in the lobby, who of course can do nothing but direct her to Guest Services. Lady REAL unhappy now. Meanwhile it's my turn at the kiosk and it won't read my loyalty card but takes the debit card fine and issues my ticket. I mention to ticket tearer that the kiosk couldn't read my loyalty card. She asks me if I'm with The Lady. I say "No, thank god".

The movie was not horrible. In fact I kind of liked it. It's standard teen horror formula but with a twist that kind of lifts it above average. Wes Craven can still make a good movie. [thumbsup]

The 3D varied from bad to pretty good but there's really no reason at all for this to be in 3D except to cash in on a fad.

Heh, is there a reason for ANY film to be in 3-D?

My thoughts exactly. I thought it was pretty well-done.

Although I can't comment on the 3D as we are running it in 35mm...
