Saw a faux-poster for this called THE GREEN HORNETMAN LANTERN or something like that. Might have worked

I was impressed by the 25' (or so) high digital picture at the Rave 4 in Las Vegas. This technology might be here to stay.

Ah, the movie . . . It pretty much jumps around all over the place for no particular rhyme or reason. Seth Rogen occasionally seems to be in another movie or maybe doesn't know where his marks are. Jay Chou as Kato was a surprise standout. The kid could go somewhere with the right direction and material.

In the last half-hour it goes from a buddy movie to a car and building smashing one, not to particularly good effect.

I wanted to like this more (like I wanted to like KICK ASS and SCOTT PILGRIM more too) and I expected more from Michel Gondry. Hey, if you're near a theatre and you don't have anything to do this might kill a couple of hours with little pain.

This was a mixture of a Seth Rogen movie, Beverley Hills Cop, and Iron Man. But it wasn't the sum of those parts at all. Definitely a good fun film to kill a couple of hours with, and the right take on a lesser-known character. Was nice to finally see a whole feature on my IMAX Digital screen, and I enjoyed the presentation.

I saw it yesterday and it's a bad film, with a very poor 3D.

It was funny - I laughed.

Cameron Diaz is too old to play a comic book vixen. Funniest bit of dialogue was when Seth Rogen asked why she was pursuing the job in her "Twilight" and "Cocoon" years.

The best 3D effects were in the closing credits.

The Green Hornet: An IMAX 3D Experience

Not a horrible movie, but not a great one either. I actually found some parts funny and I liked how the movie did not take itself serious at all. There were some cool cars and the ending scene with black/white car was cool.

Seth Rogen was good and so was his sidekick. Cameron Diaz was alright but nothing special. I was kind of wanting more development from the bad guys. I liked the double barrel hand gun.

The big reason why I give it two stars and not one is because of the violence. With all the violence in movies toned down these days, it was refreshing to see people actually getting killed in this movie. With all the senseless action, the film kind of felt like a 80s movie.

I saw the film in IMAX 3D. I enjoyed the 3D aspect of the film and I did not find the film dark in any way. The more I watch movies in IMAX 3D, the more I notice how bad RealD can be. I hopped into the same size theatre next door which was playing a 35mm print of the Green Hornet, wow did it look poor. When looking at the RealD version, you can clearly tell IMAX touches up the film.

Not really the best of movies out there and you can see why they avoided the Christmas or summer season, it was wise to release it in January. I recommend The Green Hornet to anyone who wants to watch 80's style senseless violence on screen.

Updated: I am surprised to find out that this film was originally 2D.
