Wow, this was fun!!

This is the ultimate Nicolas Cage part...sort of a human Terminator. It reminded me of those classic Kung Fu movies where one guy is in a room with 50 enemies and he knocks off all of them. This might set a record for ways to maim. The "cigar" scene is certainly one I won't forget soon!

Story is totally ridiculous, but you just don't care. Just enjoy the ride. There are many MANY laugh-out-loud moments here...I don't know if they are intentional or not, but its a really good time.

There are some nice twists in the plot, and I especially liked "The Accountant"...reminded me of Agent Smith in MATRIX.

This is the ultimate guy movie...guns, cool cars, naked women, extreme violence and Nic Cage. I can't imagine anyone else playing this part. Special mention to "Cap" played by Tom Atkins. I'll remember how to shoot at the tires.

The 3-D is very, VERY good. They have advertised "Shot in 3-D" with this movie and it shows. The 3-D is very effective and very well thought out. Its certainly one of the better non-animated 3-D films I have ever seen.

Best action film I've seen in ages. So much fun, I might even go see it again and do a body count!

Oh, one final thing...for Cage's character John Milton, this movie is definitely Paradise Lost.

I just saw DRIVE ANGRY at Regal's Pearlwest 16 in Real D in their largest auditorium which was recently converted to show 3-D movies using Sony's 4K digital system and the picture quality was very bright and the 3-D was almost as impressive as SANCTUM I saw in that same house three weeks ago. Because DRIVE ANGRY was photographed in native 3-D, it shows and I agree with Mark about how good it was in that format. Along with some other recent native 3-D films like STEP UP 3-D and SANCTUM I had just mentioned, DRIVE ANGRY should encourage all filmmakers to shoot in 3-D instead of converting 2-D to 3-D.

Although the 3-D was excellent, I was troubled with the quality of the film because the cinematography looked like I was watching a B movie. Come to think about it, the movie is a B class film although it featured Nicolas Cage in the lead. Although it did not look great, I agree again with Mark, it was entertaining.

Quite possibly some of the worst effects I've ever seen in a movie can be seen in Drive Angry. They were so awful, some of those shots produced groans and laughs they were so bad.

The movie is nothing great, but it is so stupid and over the top, it is somewhat fun. Definitely turn your brain off if you want to get any enjoyment out of it.

Pretty good sound mix, btw.
