CINEMA: 13th Avenue Warren, Wichita, KS
AUDITORIUM: 14
PRESENTATION: Dolby Digital Cinema 7.1 DLP/THX
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: None [Cool]
RATING: Three and one half stars (out of four)

THE PLOT: Cheap bastards field a team. Wackiness ensues.

I'm not a fan of baseball, but for some reason I always fall for baseball movies. At least the ones without Kevin Costner.

This one is two-plus hours of very little action (or baseball), yet it's engaging and never drags. Even though it's full of math. And whining.

Then you get to the end and read the follow-up and you think "Wow. What a fucking idiot."

For some people there is more to life than money. But that was a lot of millions.

well aside from the theater I saw it at where it was on the warm side resulting in my sleeping through the first ten minutes or so, I thought the rest of the movie was riveting. Well cast and great Aaron Sorkin script.

This was 7.1 audio, Sam?

It was a 7.1 capable auditorium (that showed the flashy 7.1 Dolby trailer). I don't know if the movie was rendered that way or not.
