CINEMA: Cinetopia Overland Park 18, Overland Park, KS
AUDITORIUM: 1
PRESENTATION: Cinetopia GXL with Dolby Atmos, 4K Projection, and Ultra-Steep Stadium Seating (not quite like the old Winnipeg Arena, but...)
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: These "triple stuffed reclining ultra leather seats" (which aren't recliners, they're just regular seats) are kind of uncomfortable. And the armrests don't retract.
RATING: Two and one half stars (out of four)

THE PLOT: A hitman about to testify needs a bodyguard. Wackiness ensues.

There are some awesome and amazing action scenes in this. Unfortunately, you have to sit through the rest of the movie to see them, and the rest of the movie kind of blows. The pace and dialogue feel like something Paul Feig would put together for Melissa McCarthy.

This was probably the best Dolby Atmos experience I've had so far, and the total ticket cost $6 less than the "Dolby Cinema" room at the AMC a couple of weeks ago.

Your basic all-over-the-place action movie, with a story you can explain in a single five word sentence and character development equal to that of a wooden plank nailed to 25 tons of concrete.

Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson both are pretty accomplished actors, yet they never seem to achieve some kind of chemistry on screen. The awkward dialog that tries to be funny is the main culprit. At least the couple sitting next to me had a blast, but maybe they were watching another movie on the mobile phone they couldn't get rid of.
