I'm not much of a fan of country music but there are lots of those folks around here so hopefully some of them will come to see this movie.

It's a fairly straight-forward love story about a guy who deserts his girl on their supposed wedding day and ends up as a world-famous country music star. He then returns to his home town and discovers that his former girlfriend has a daughter that he never knew about -- his daughter. Everyone in town knows who he is but they all give him the cold shoulder, including his father and the former girl friend, since they all feel betrayed from when he disappeared before.

This is a nice feel-good movie without any big surprises in it and with a happy ending. Good date night material.
