The sequel is finally here!Now, I'm asking which products should I use? Who should i use for the booth, concession, ticketing and auditoriums (screen, masking)?
I've finished raising money to incorporate! Now I'm looking at condition's of sale and if the location will work out.

Projector- Century or Simplex
Platter- Potts Alpha Platter, Strong AP Platter, Christie AW-3
Automation/Fail safes- Component Engineering
POS/Management- RTS Ticketing
Soft Drink- PEPSI
Sound- Dolby Digital
Lamphouse- Strong Super Lume-X, Christie SLCI think those are all my prefferences on stuff, GOOD LUCK

Christie makes platters and Bevan-poos that people seem to like a lot, and projectors that people seem to really dislike. I like the AW-3 platters myself, but I'd take old Century C projectors over brand-new Christie projectors any day, based on what I've read here about Christie and my positive experiences with Century C's.

Why Christie projectors?
There are next to none in canada so parts will be scarce and expensive. Century or Simplex or even better Kinoton or Ernamann

If you want to use Christie projectors because (trying to think like a '13 year old' here) they 'look cool', you're in for a nightmare.
If you want 'coool' looks and super performance, go with Kinoton
hehehe, Luckily Andrew hasn't seen a CFS 'Dreamcatcher' yet.... 
Probably the 'coolest looking' projector out there!!!

Ok, I'll just ask it outright instead of playing the guessing game...Andrew, what are you referring to when you say Christie? Are you talking about their projectors? Consoles? Platters? Automation? The entire Christie package?
Also, how did you come to arrive at that conclusion? Whether some people consider it a good or bad choice isn't what I am asking here, just how did you make that decision? Who did you talk to? Was this based upon pictures? Was it based upon a certain theater using that equipment? Are you looking at a spec sheet? Just curious.

I decided this from pictures. I'm talking about the whole package. Their equipment seems pretty "operator Friendly" and whenever I e-mail them, they always reply within 5 hours! Other companies don't get back to me for about a week!Also - I'm going to Saskatoon for a visit with family. There's no internet access, so please be patient if it takes a couple of days (6-15) to respond!
