Does anyone know of someone who makes trailer tapes for lobby video systems? We had used Cinema Concepts, but their website hasn't been updated since August or something.Or, does anyone know of anyone who makes trailer tapes period? Or of a way to get trailers from studios? (on video tape of course)

If you ask nicely, you can get the distributors to send you an "Electronic Press Kit," which should include 3/4" videotapes of trailers, random scenes from the movie, sometimes a "making of" puff piece, etc. This shouldn't cost you more than the shipping fee (but you usually have to return the tapes), although it may not be worth it to spend a lot of time editing a bunch of trailers onto a single tape. On the other hand, 3/4" editing machines (the original ones, not the SP version) are pretty inexpensive now, and it might be cheaper than paying someone to send you compilation tapes.

At Cinema West we used Wilming-Reams for their tapes. They were great... every month a new list of what was available got faxed to us... we checked off our choices and a new tape and a bill came with the tape.I think it was like $30 or something.

Thanks for the info! I found Wilming Reams's website and ordered a 30 minute tape. It's $39 and they have all the latest trailers.

Hey, thanks for the referral, Scott, and thanks for the order, Paul. We try to keep our site updated daily as new trailers come in. Also, we try to get the tapes out either same day or next day since these trailers go stale pretty fast. Because of the economic climate, we skipped ShoWest this year, the first time in several years we didn't have a booth. Most of our circuit customers are either in bankruptsy or just not buying much they don't have to (we also sell 35mm. policy trailers, which admittedly are expendable next to concessions, etc.) so we decided to sit this one out. The booth rentals are awfully pricey for an industry in recession. If I can be of service to anyone out there, please email me at doug@WRonyourscreens.com. I've gotten a lot of information from this site which I appreciate, even though I've stayed lurking in the shadows.
