I am in the process of hiring new cleaners for an6 plex that I over see. I was wondering what the range in saleries for cleaners everyone pays.

My company has hourly cleaners (hire in is $7/hr) and also a housekeeping manager (salary ranges from $315-$415, for 35 hrs a week). They created the housekeeping manager for a couple reasons, 1-payroll, 2-to remove the mess of the general manager having to keep tabs on the cleaning crew. What in the world questions could one even ask in a cleaning interview? I always wondered that before I did a cleaner interview. I'm still baffled, glad I have a cleaning manager to hire/fire them for me

I run a 5 Plex, and our cleaner is paid $500 per week for seven days and in the off season...250 for 4 days.

Reality checks are also important. Some potential cleaners apply thinking the job will only take an hour a day, or that regular mopping isn't required. Asking what the person expects the job will be like can weed out some duds.
I once wrote a whole article on "staying ahead of the mess." The cleanliness of a theatre is critical to continued attendence and getting top notch employees. Many people won't apply for work or return if a theatre is dirty or smelly.
