What is the average sq. ft. for an 8 screen theatre with a descent size lobby? Holding approx. 1500 seats. And the construction cost of such a facility. With no special neon or design requirements?

27,980 or there abouts.Construction costs vary with regard to geographical region and local economy. Or more that you want to pay. Cinemas are expensive because of the sloped floor or stadium seating. But I'll bet $100 per square foot un-finished is not a bad guess.

My 8-screen with 1,408 seats had 25,896 square feet. However, it was kind of a strange setup, being a mall location. My current 10-screen with 1,614 seats has 25,916 square feet. This is a more standard setup (strip mall location).
