This was brought up in Yak re: Harry Potter 2.

The Northeast chain Destinta Theatres has a tight turnaround for most if not all its shows. Last Sunday the Destinta in New Windsor NY only allowed 20 minutes between shows of Sweet Home Alabama. (3 PM show ended at 5 PM; next show started at 5:20).

Does your theater always have to work with a tight turnaround?

Charles,

I find it rare that we have turn-arounds of more than 20 minutes unless *I* set my own showtimes. WHen our HO sets the times, we are often left with 15 minute turn-arounds. These are, of course, always the MEGA smashes that sell out all shows for the first week...

Yeah, corporate mentality, you just have to admire it at times..

You have time between shows?!?! WOW! During the summer I often have to 'lose' trailers so that the previous show ends before the next one starts.
