My accountant want to know
a - The life of a seat in a 2 screen
I know that 100 miles away they installed seats 5 years ago & look brand new.
b - when fabric wears out, ballpark, the replacement cost of the fabric.
Looking for actuals as I know that fabric quality varies, but any info to keep the pencil pushers happy will suffice

We just replaced 20-year-old seats. They weren't in real bad shape, just worn-out and ugly, so we upgraded to a higher quality seat...But we're in a town of 2000 people. In a large city, I'd think the time frame would be shorter!

Properly maintained the metal work of the chair will last a very long time. Rust forms around the foot plate of the legs first but the rest of the metal work is typically fine. Time frame on metal work would be at least 20-30 years.

Foam and fabric would probably last you about 10-15 years. There are some excellent eco safe cleaning products you can use for reducing pop stains, marker vandalism, almost anything but gum.

In our experience I find that mostly the seat foam and fabric gets most of the wear. Back foam will usually stand up much longer.

Ballparking fabric cost would be about $10.00 CDN/yard and I would suggest replacing foam at the same time for about $8-15 CDN
per piece.

I really all depends on the style of your seat and style of foam used in it.
