I have some seats that were made by Hayworth Seating. The seat bottoms have an L shaped tapered rod that sticks out of each side of the seat and mates with a socket in the main upright portion of the seat. Has anyone encountered these? What is the trick of getting the seat bottoms loose from the uprights?...Jim

John are you certain that the name is Hayworth? Could it be a
Haywood Wakefield?

The reason I ask is it sounds like some seats I had installed in a New York Theatre with the "L" shaped rods on springs which we slipped into a cast iorn hole on the inside of the end standard.

To take out the seat had to be in the up position and using a rubber mallet bump up from bottom.
