I need to know, as precisely as possible, the time increments that encompass the slide show, pre-show countdown, advertisements and trailers right up to the moment when the feature hits the screen. I’m guessing this varies from theater to theater, but are there any general or hard and fast rules?

Typically, slides are set for 10-12 seconds each. The rest of the stuff, I don't know.

If you are running film advertisements in front of your trailer pack then just add the time of each ad together and start it that much before the show start. Each ad has the length on it jsut like a trailer.

It time the "re-show presentation" is running is going to depend which theatre it is in. For example (at a 5 screen theatre)you start seating all the shows at 1:00, and all the start times are staggered 5-10 min each Starting at 1:15. By the time your last show starts it is 1:45. So your shortest time is 15min, but you will have some theatres running for 30-40 min.
The same will happen after the show for the next set. Sometimes there is more time in between shows than others.
The presentation should just repeat, unless you are guaranteeing placement....which would be a major headache.
