Does anyone know who the distributor is for a new documementary titled "Ron Santo, The Lonely Cub"? I've had several patrons ask about it and can't seem to find any info on it. Thanks!

It's called, "This Old Cub," and is a 90-minute documentary on the life of Ron Santo and was produced by Emerging Pictures. I believe it was released last month...

I had the opportunity to meet Ron in person several times when I was a kid playing in little league baseball. I have his, Ernie Banks, and Ted Abernathys autographs sonewhere around here. I've always felt that these three were the greatest Cubs players of all time.

"This Old Cub" is shot and exhibited on video, not film. I believe Emerging Pictures makes arrangements to bring in a digital projection system if one is not already present. You'd have to ask them about it.
