How many screens are in your theatres and how many seats are in each? In a town south of mine there is 13-plex. One auditorium seats 440 and is stadium seated (nice)! Another hold around 350. Three seat somewhere around 225 I believe and the rest seat many fewer. I was just wanting and idea of what's out there.

14 Screens. All Aud's are Half Slope/Stadium.
I.E. Sloped seating in the front half, Stadium Seating in the Back half.

#1,7,10,14 - 300 Seats
#2,8,9,13 - 250 Seats
#6,12 - 200 Seats
#3,4,5,11 - 150 Seats

Interlock Zones:
#8 to 1 to 7 to 2 = 1100 Seats
#9 to 14 to 10 to 13 = 1100 Seats

1 auditorium including a stage,
12 rows à 16 seats (=192 seats).

THere has been left a lot of space between the seats. So the auditorium seems to be very big. I'll submit a photo if I don't forget to bring my camera.

13 Screen Multiplex, Retail Park Positioned between two city centres in England.

SRD in all screens, DTS and EX also in screen 7.
All screens have side masking for widescreen/scope.
All screens have stadium seating, the larger screens have 3 or so rows of seating on a flat level before the stadium area.

Our company seems to think that if we tell anyone how many seats are in our theatres, they'll put a bomb in there!??!
but I can say we run a typical 7 plex with all stadium seating...

Yeah... what's with that? If anybody wanted to know, couldn't they just go count for themselves? And if they're worried about film companies finding out how many seats they actually have compared to how many seats they reported, then MAYBE they shouldn't be dishonest in the first place!!!

Yeah, scott... Our company is really really secretive about everything... But I agree with you totally. I could probably get in trouble for telling you that I work there?!! It's really just plain stupid... They seem to think that absolutely NO ONE can know what we have for equipment... I'm just hoping I don't get caught asking you guys for help with the CP 650s that we don't have!! [Razz]

So... I might see if i can find some clever brain puzzle thing to tell you how many seats we have... maybe i can get away with that!

Whitman Theatre = 2450 -- aprox half slope, half stadium
Gershwin Theatre = 500 -- 2/3rds slope, 1/3rd stadium

Currently at 10 screens, in the process of 6 more. Which are SUPPOSE to be done by August... [Roll Eyes]

All are stadium seating.

The current layout is 1-5 mirror 6-10 so:
Theatres #1 & #10=190, caps out before the last 25 are sold. (We all know we can't prevent all theatre hoppers and those 'free' children from taking a seat...)
Theatres #2 & #9=175, caps at 25 also.
Theatres #3 & #8=119, caps at 15.
Theatres #4 & #7=143, caps at 20.
Theatres #5 & #6=282, caps at 25.

If I remember correctly, one of the six new ones will be over 350. Another at about 200, the others around 100.

You wanna know which ones have interlocking capabilities?
Theatres #1 & #2, Theatres #3 & #4, Theatres #7 & #8, and Theatres #9 & #10.

#2 has 210 seats
#3 has 120 seats
#4 has 280 seats

#1 has a sloped floor. #2, #3 & #4 have a practically flat floor which, as I said in another post, provides our customers with the worst sightlines since nickelodeon days.

Of the venues where I have worked recently:

- single screen, about 350-400 seats (military base theatre)
- single screen, about 400 seats
- single screen (primarily used for live shows), about 450 seats
- single screen converted to twin, about 750 seats in main house, about 200 seats in former balcony
- six-plex, with auditoria ranging from about 150 to about 250 seats
- various college auditoria (not commercial theatres), most about 200-400 seats
