We are considering adding roasted, candied nuts to our concession selection. I vaguely remember a company from a couple years ago that used to provide warmers, bags, and nuts by the bulk. Does anyone know of a business that still does this, and ISN'T The Nutty Barvarian?

Also, do any of you serve candied nuts at your concession, and if so how do they do?

Will they stick together in the hot humidity of summer? We tried something like that about 15 years ago and we had to bang 'em around every day before we opened to declump them.

..big thing if it's profitable to have in your candy counter.. Yes, sounds good, but how would the returns be in the cash drawer compared to a more common candy or another product that have nuts (like M&M's) that is sure to be a moneymaker..

Some market tests would be in order here to see if there is a demand for such an item.

...remember, you're in the theatre business, not the food business - and you have to make as much as possible in the snakbar in a short period of time.

Say what you will about the Nutty Bavarian, he can draw a crowd with the SMELL of roasting nuts (never, ever roast ahead except to get the smell started.) Louis
