One local theatre (AMC Easton 30) is running a sing-along version of HAIRSPRAY. It is noted in the display ad and the listing. Anyone else got one of these?

The ArcLight in Hollywood is also running the Sing-A-Long version too.

Does the print have subtitles or are they using the DTS system or is it just the D-prints that have a subtitle file? Does the public know these songs well enough for there to be any kind of market for this? I mean, we did THE SOUND OF MUSIC and ROCKY HORROR, but HAIRSPRAY?

Well, the young son of Ugly Betty's sister on the TV show knew the songs well enough to perform the entire score on a subway train that had broken down on their way to see the play.

Good point Paul! The Broadway musical has toured throughout the US and the show continues to be a strong draw on the great white way.

Frank, using subtitles. They just appear as they are singing each line. Not even changing colors like a Karoke machine or follow the bouncing ball.
